FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
June 24, 2010
(Franklin, TN.) - As the third week of the season gets started we wanted to update everyone on some key points to keep in mind as you play your remaining events:
1.) Please disregard the yardages for each division that will show up on each tournaments BlueGolf website. Those are set up as the default yardage for the course. All the yardages for our events can be viewed on our homepage at www.tgajuniortour.com. Click on the “2010 Yardages” button on the lower right hand side.
2.) Be sure that before you return your scorecard after you finish your round to the scorecard return box (white cylinder) that it has two signatures and all the holes are filled in with your scores. We are continuing to get disqualifications of players that forget to either sign the card, have their marker sign the card, or forgot to fill in a score on a hole.
3.) The only way to officially withdrawal from an event is to either call (615.790.3336) or email (tnjuniorgolf@pgahq.com) the office prior to the event. If one of these steps is not taken and the player receives a “No-Show” for an event, they will automatically be withdrawn from their next event with no refund.
4.) If you are currently on a waiting list for an event and know you will not be able to play in the event, please call or email the office so we can take you off the list. This will open spots on the waiting list for people that would like to sign up.
5.) Distance Measuring Devices – Under our guidelines/regulations distance measuring devices (Bushnell, Sky Caddie, Golf Logix, etc.) can be used during our events. The only exception is that the device cannot measure slope or gradient.
6.) Pull carts can be used during our events provided the golf course allows them on site. Please check with golf course prior to arriving.
7.) Awards Plates: If you were not able to pick up your award plate for your achievements plaque at a particular event, please check with the staff at the next event to see if they have any leftover. If they do not have them, keep track of the ones you are missing and we will have a process to get those to you at the end of the season.
8.) Tour Division Regional Championships: Registration for our 2010 Tour Division Regional Championships opens on July 1st at 8:00am CDT. These events are open to all Tour Division players that have played in at least three tournaments on our schedule. These events are first-come, first serve and fill up quickly so be sure to get online on July 1st to reserve your spot.
9.) Tournament of Champions (Masters Division) and Aspen Grove Challenge (Micro Division): The first installment of the rankings for all Masters Divisions and all Micro Divisions will be available next Wednesday, June 23rd at 7:00 pm CDT.
