WEEK SIX HIGHLIGHTS

(Franklin, TN) - Even though the week was shortened by the holiday, the great play was plentiful and below are the highlights from this week on Tour:

1. Michael Orme of Franklin recorded a 1-under par of 70 at Brentwood CC to win the Boys 16-18 Masters Division by 7 strokes.

2. Richard Powell Jr. (Hixson) started his Jr. Tour season off well with a 3-under par round of 69 during the first round of the TMACS event a Bear Trace at Harrison Bay. 

3. Jordan Britt of Dayton fired a 1-under par, two round total of 143 at the TMACS event at Bear Trace at Harrison Bay.

4. Wesley Jones and Davis Shore (both of Knoxville) shot matching 32's to tie for 1st place in the Boys 8-9 Micro Division at Concord Park Par 3. Wesley ended up winning the tournament in a sudden-death playoff.

5. Tyler Shellnut (Franklin) shot a second round 68 to finish in a three-way tie for 1st place at the TMACS event at Harpeth Hills. He subsequently won the playoff to capture the Boys 16-18 Masters title.

6. Paul Kleine-Kracht of Brentwood shot a first round two-under par 70 during the TMACS event at Harpeth Hills.

7. Russ English (Brownsville) picked up his second win of the year at Brownsville CC carding a 79 to win the Boys 16-18 Tour Division by 8 strokes.

8. Phillip Hickam (Olive Branch, MS) shot a one-under par 35 at Brownsville CC to win the Boys 10-13 Tour by 2 strokes.

Disqualifications:   1 Total

1: Signed for a lower score than taken. Rule 6-6

Five warnings were given out throughout the week to those players that acted in an unsportsmanlike manner (i.e. club throwing, cursing, defacing golf course property). The first offense is a verbal warning while subsequent offenses will result in disqualification and/or suspension.
Note: Please do not throw clubs, curse or deface any golf course property. We are very fortunate to have access to many golf courses throughtout the state, and acts such as these could result in non-committments from these courses in the future.
